My only experience with leasing is apartment leasing. Isn't car leasing the same thing?
No, not at all. Although there are similarities, don't confuse the two types of leasing. For example, in apartment leasing, there is no equivalent to a cap cost reduction (down payment) or lease-end residual value as in car leasing. Apartment leasing is much more like renting, whereas car leasing is more like loan financing.
