2013 Toyota Land Cruiser To Debut In Chicago
Toyota’s legendary Land Cruiser recently celebrated its 60th anniversary in Japan, and the go-anywhere off-roader has been on sale in the U.S. for better than 50 years. Like many, it’s picked up a few pounds and a few inches in girth over the years, and it’s also gone a bit soft.

Toyota’s legendary Land Cruiser recently celebrated its 60th anniversary in Japan, and the go-anywhere off-roader has been on sale in the U.S. for better than 50 years. Like many, it’s picked up a few pounds and a few inches in girth over the years, and it’s also gone a bit soft.
For the Land Cruiser, that’s not a bad thing, since the Toyota product line still includes SUVs like the FJ Cruiser and the 4Runner for those who want a more Spartan (and more affordable) off-road ride.
The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser comes nearly as well appointed as its Lexus LX570 cousin, albeit with less refined materials. Buyers get an updated interior that includes ventilated leather front seats, a heated steering wheel, a Multi-terrain Monitor, a Multi-information display, glossier wood grain finishes and chrome air vents.
Outside, the updated styling includes a revised grille, new headlamps , LED daytime running lights, chrome side molding, new side view mirrors and revised taillights.
Land Cruiser models now get all features as standard equipment, including former options like a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, rain sensing wipers, center console cooler, headlamp washers, navigation system and JBL audio.
Also standard are safety features that make the Land Cruiser a sound option for families needing a full-size SUV. All Land Cruisers now get Multi-Terrain Select, Trailer Sway Control, Multi-Terrain ABS, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a pre-collision system and a retuned suspension.
